Welcome to The Contact Lens Museum
Today, most people have experience with contact lenses either as a wearer themselves or by knowing a family member, friend, or co-worker who has worn them. What typically is not known is the long history of contact lenses which have been used as an optical or medical device for almost 125 years.
Established in 2019 to preserve, protect and educate eye care practitioners, researchers, historians and the public about these wonderful optical devices and objects, The Contact Lens Museum has more than 2,000 historical items documenting the history of this field over the past 100+ years.

"We are rapidly growing thanks to donations of artifacts and from monetary support from benefactors and continue to look forward to welcoming eye care practitioners and the public to the museum,” said Mr. Patrick Caroline, co-curator of the museum along with Mr. Craig Norman.

Recently there was the 50th anniversary of the introduction of soft contact lenses and we have plans for many interesting events to commemorate this.
