Roy Wesley, OD, PhD
Roy Wesley is a research scientist and COO at Fermalogic, Inc., a biotech company isolating natural products from soil microbes. He received his AB from Washington University, St. Louis in German and Comparative Literature, MS from Wayne State University in Cell and Molecular Biology and PhD from CUNY in Cell and Molecular Biology. He also received his Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry, Boston.
Previously, Dr. Wesley was a senior research investigator at Pfizer (Maywood, NJ and Groton, CT) followed by clinic director at Wesley-Jessen, Inc. and President and Clinic Director at the National Eye Research Foundation.
Roy is currently writing a biography of his father, Dr. Newton K. Wesley and his role in the development of the contact lens industry in the United States and globally. He is also writing a memoir of his family’s incarceration during World War II.
